1. Are the APMC courses aligned with the PMBOK® Guide – Third Edition?

2. Who is eligible to take the APMC Program?
Typically the APMC program is for experienced project managers and senior level managers, who want to build on expertise, acquire new skills and go beyond PMP accreditation. The APMC Program is recommended for all those seeking to expand their knowledge on today's higher-level strategic project management issues and for those PMP seeking to earn PDUs necessary to maintain certification.

3. Do I have to take the APMC courses in any particular order?
No. You can take the two required courses and attend the four electives courses in any order.

4. How are the APMC Program courses delivered?
The Advanced Project Management Certification is a live, online program where you have the power to choose the advanced project management courses that fit your needs, interest and time. Each course is conducted over four three hour sessions.
The online classes are led by live instructors so you get the benefits of a classroom situation in your office. The classes have a good balance of lectures, discussion and individual exercises to help you develop the skills necessary to effectively lead projects from start to finish.
Requirements:
All IIL Virtual Classroom courses require a headset equipped with a microphone. Headsets are available for purchase at www.iil.com/iil/headset.

5. Can I get a discount for the APMC Program?
IIL offers preferred corporate pricing packages to organizations that choose to train many individuals in our publicly scheduled courses. Please email Lori Milhaven to find out if your organization has a Corporate Advantage Program (CAP) in place
- Please note: University sponsored APMC Program courses are not included in the Corporate Advantage Program.
- Government agencies and employees under IIL’s GSA Federal Supply Schedules are entitled to a 20 % discount.
- Groups of 5 of more will receive a 20% discount.

6. How do I pay for the APMC Program and when?
Payment is due in full before starting your first APMC course. Payment methods include Credit Card, Check, or Purchase Order number for qualifying companies.

7. Can I pay for one APMC course at a time?
No, IIL will only accept payment in full.

8. Do I get a refund if I cannot attend the APMC Program?
IIL policy is not to charge cancellation fees. If for whatever reason you cannot attend a course, contact us and we will arrange a courtesy transfer into a course that better suits your schedule. You can select from one of our many live e-Learning course dates or archived, asynchronous e-Learning courses. Please note that occasionally, due to low enrollments, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule courses. If you do not wish to transfer to another scheduled date/ course, IIL will provide a full refund.

9. How many CEUs and PDUs will I receive?
This 66-hour certification program earns you up to 66 PDUs and 6.6 CEUs

10. When am I completed with the APMC Program?
Participants are done when they have successfully completed the two required and four elective courses, and have passed a 30-question multiple-choice online post-test achieving 70% for each course.
Upon completion of the APMC program, you will receive a formal letter, a record of your PDUs earned, and a framed Certificate of Completion signed both by Dr. Harold Kerzner, IIL’s Senior Executive Director and LaVerne E. Johnson, IIL’s CEO and President.

11. What happens if I cannot attend a class or complete the class once I start ?
The APMC Program is offered to you live or recorded. If you cannot attend a live class, simply go to the archived class, and you can catch up. Archived sessions are available for 30 days after the last session of your class.

12. Is there an exam at the end of each APMC course?
Yes. Once you have completed a course, you will receive instruction via email to take the exam for that particular course. Upon notification you have four weeks to take the exam.

13. What happens if I fail an exam?
The IIL testing department will notify you, and you will be scheduled to re-take the exam for a fee of $95.00.

14. Is it possible to see the questions that I have missed on the exam?
No, we do not provide participants their completed exams to review.

15. Is there an APMC Program final exam?
No, exams are only given after each course.

16. Do I have to complete all four sessions of a course before I can take the exam?
Yes, you must have attended the four three-hour sessions.

17. I have already taken an advanced course with IIL. Is it possible to waive it as part of the APMC Program?
You can waive up to TWO courses (required or elective) if you have taken them within the last one-year period from IIL. Please note, you must first take and pass the post-test to have the course waived. There will be a fee of $150 per course for this activity.

18. How long do I have to complete the APMC program?
The APMC Program can be completed between 3 and 12 months.

19. What is the difference between IIL APMC courses and those offered through IIL/University?
IIL offers many of its courses and programs jointly with several top tier universities, including University of Chicago’s Graham School of General Studies. Upon successful completion of IIL /University APMC Program, you will receive from the University:
- An Official Academic Record
- A letter grade
- A certificate of completion
This documentation will meet the requirements of most organizations’ tuition remission or reimbursement programs.

20. When would I receive my APMC training materials?
Course materials, including workbooks, will be sent approximately two weeks prior to the start of each class. If you don’t have these at least three business days before your class begins, please contact IIL’s technical support.

21. Can IIL deliver the APMC Program at my company’s site?
If your company has a group of twelve or more employees to train, the APMC curriculum can be delivered in a private IIL Virtual Classroom environment. Or, if you prefer the curriculum can be delivered in the classroom—onsite or at the location of your choice.

22. What are the technical requirements to attend the APMC Program?
- Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista
- Internet Explorer 5.01, Netscape 7.2, Firefox 1.0 or later
- 28.8kbps or faster Internet connection
(High-speed internet connection is preferred)
- P350+ MHz, 128+ MB memory
- 800 x 600 16-bit color display or better
