Lean Six Sigma Certification Programs

IIL offers three certification programs in Lean Six Sigma: Yellow Belt, Green Belt and Black Belt.

Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification Program
(The Fundamentals of Lean Six Sigma)
Entry level certification of foundational concepts and techniques within Lean Six Sigma.  This highly sought after skill-set starts with a prevention-oriented mindset.  Through process improvement and management by fact, participants will learn ways to quickly remove non-value added costs and improve customer satisfaction.

Prerequisites

None

Yellow Belt Certification Requirements:

  • IIL Course Attendance
  • IIL Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Exam (online)
  • 30 multiple choice questions taken within 30 days of course completion - 70% passing score
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Program
Green Belt is not just a role, it is also a competency required for leadership positions at many top companies. This program is designed to enable participants to fulfill the important role of a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and to incorporate the Lean Six Sigma mindset into their leadership skills. With a real-world project focus, the program will teach the fundamental methodology, tools and techniques of the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control Process Improvement Methodology.

Lead and complete one project within one year of completion of course

Prerequisites
A basic understanding of Quality

  • IIL Course Attendance
  • IIL Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Exam (online)
  • 50 questions after session one and upon completion of the course (two exams/100 questions total) - 70% passing score for each exam
  • Lead and complete one project within one year of completion of course

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification Program
This program is for Green Belts who want to advance their knowledge and become IIL Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belts. Covering all content of the IIL Black Belt Certification Program which is not covered in the Green Belt training, this program has a strong focus on advanced statistical analysis and organizational change management.

Prerequisites
IIL’s Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Program or equivalent.

Black Belt Certification Requirements
:

  • IIL Course Attendance
  • IIL Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Exam (online)
  • 30 questions after each four-week period (four exams/120 questions total) - 70% passing score for each exam
  • Lead and complete two projects within one year of completion of course
