The Project Management Certificate Program was built upon the fundamental learning methodology of Cognitive Apprenticeship. There are five scaffolding steps in our learning model.
Purpose
This section will underscore the reason why a given topic area is relevant and meaningful to the participant. It will address questions such as "Why should I learn about Project Management?" This will also provide the foundational learning required to build a deeper and richer understanding of the topic presented.
Application & Practice
Participants will be exposed to the key principles that drive the topic area. This understanding will be developed by an expert-guided review of the business strategies that drive the topic. In essence, these elements will give the participants the strategic building blocks necessary to apply to the practice of successful Project Management
At Work and in Practice
Participants will actively engage in exercises that challenge them to apply the strategic learning to real world situations. These exercises will reinforce the strategic concepts in addition to providing tools and techniques that can be applied to the job immediately.
Apply What You’ve Learned
Participants will be tasked to demonstrate mastery of topics in a variety of work problems. These problems will ensure that the participant can think beyond the specific learning-by-doing tasks and therefore be able to apply the learnings across a greater range of scenarios in the future.
Recap
Participants will finalize knowledge transfer through testing.
