All organizations aspire to have happy customers with highly credible business relations.
Traditionally – this meant delivering projects based on what was agreed with the customers in terms of requirements, time, cost & quality – and project managers were tasked with making that happen. However, it is not that straightforward anymore. With the dynamic market needs, increasing customer expectations, along with changing priorities, moving to Agile ways of working is increasingly becoming the global norm for most organizations.
This opens the big question that many project professionals are struggling with – What should project managers do now? Where do project managers fit in? How can they stay relevant in an Agile world?
In this session, Monika Muddamshetty will share key insights for PMs regarding the Evolving role of a PM and help them to Better understand the role of project management professionals in organizational agility. About Monika Muddamshetty
Monika is a seasoned leader in the delivery and Agile space, dealing with people and processes to deliver improved outcomes across projects, programs, and portfolios, along with driving transformation, process automation, and re-engineering initiatives. In her current role, she currently heads the Agile Centre of Excellence (CoE) driving the journey to Agile ways of working.
She has served as Director on the Board of PMIPCC (Project Management Institute Pearl City Hyderabad Chapter) for approx. 5 years, and currently volunteers with the PMI South Asia Champions program and other activities across the region to give back to the PM community.
She also serves as the Chairperson, ICT at IGT India (Internal Committee POSH at Work as per The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal) Act, 2013).
Monika is an engineer by education, with various professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP®), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP®), Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master (DASSM®), SAFe® Program Consultant (SPC), Lean Six Sigma – Green belt amongst others.
She started her career as a Graduate Trainee Engineer at Tata Teleservices in 2006 and worked with different aspects of service and systems delivery across IT, Telecom, and Gaming industries with multiple awards, such as – the ‘Building Excellence’ award at IGT, ‘Excellence award at Syniverse Technologies, Highest achiever’s recognition ‘Maestro’ Award and ‘Superstar Scroll of honor’, Certificate of Appreciation multiple times at Tata Teleservices Ltd, (TTSL) along with a Letter of appreciation from the Managing Director, Tata Teleservices Ltd, (TTSL) for outstanding contribution.
She is also a Speaker, passionate about topics related to Agile, Project Management, Leadership, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Her last speaking stint was at the Project Management South Asia Conference22, PMSAC22 featured on CNBC-TV18.
