PMI CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATE
I would like to share with our clients an important update from PMI’s CEO, Sunil Prashara, in regards to COVID-19.
Sunil has announced via LinkedIn that the launch of the new PMP® exam will be postponed until January 2, 2021:
“As you know, PMI is committed to the safety and well-being of our global community, which is why I set up a dedicated PMI Crisis Task Force, that is taking appropriate remedial actions in light of the rapidly developing coronavirus (COVID-19) situation globally. And so….
Due to these unprecedented times, we have decided to extend access to the current PMP exam until 31 December 2020 and postpone the launch of the new PMP exam until 2 January 2021. We are actively both exploring and expediting solutions to offer alternative PMP exam delivery options, and I will share more information as it becomes available.
Additionally, we will automatically extend all candidates’ exam eligibility periods through 18 January 2021 and are waiving fees for rescheduling exams. For the latest on impacts to our events and certifications, please refer to our COVID-19 Update page, which we are updating regularly.
In these hectic times, we must remain positive, work together, and stay well.”
PMI has IIL’s full support during this ongoing crisis and, as always, we are committed to working alongside them as a PMI® Charter Global R.E.P. and member of the PMI® Global Executive Council.
We have also created a News and Updates page which you can refer to for ongoing updates related to COVID-19, IIL and our clients and partners.
