Beyond Engineering:
Why PMP® Certification is the New
Gold
Standard for Utility Modernization
By Jorgelina Bross-Puglisi and Gabor Stramb
Abstract
The utility sector is currently navigating its most significant transition since the Industrial Revolution. As the industry shifts from centralized, fossil fuel-based generation to decentralized, smart, and green grids, and the inclusion of power supply sustainability as a matter of both political and national security, the complexity of project delivery has skyrocketed. Historically, utility companies relied on engineering prowess alone; today, that is no longer enough.
