About the Presentation

When was the last time you managed a product-release project without considering the status of the product information? Probably never. But the scope of what you’ve considered might not have been wide enough. In today’s world of exploding content (thanks, AI!), it’s more important than ever to leverage the tools of content strategy to assess and manage the full state of a product’s information. One of the most important tools in that toolbox is the content audit. In this presentation, I will help you understand what a content audit is, why it’s important, and how it can be incorporated into your project plan. You’ll also walk away with some tips and a working template.

Key Takeaways

  • Learn at least 3 reasons to conduct a content audit.
  • Describe the key elements of a content audit.
  • Identify the ways in which a content audit can influence a project plan.
  • Apply a content audit template to a sample project plan.
