Frequently Asked Questions
IIL offers AXELOS courses in both Traditional and Virtual Classrooms. ITIL, MSP, PRINCE2 6th Edition and PRINCE2 Agile are also available On-Demand. The On-Demand courses are indicated by the word “Passport” in the course title.

All course materials are included with the workshop: workbook, manual and exam.
Access to Passport products are valid for a period of twelve (12) months.
Access to Passport products is valid for a period of twelve (12) months from the day you receive access. If you do not complete the course within the twelve (12) month timeframe, you will need to purchase the course again.
Depending on the course and the modality, you will either receive hard copy workbooks or access to an electronic download. The Manual is typically a hard copy but electronic versions are available and can be used in open-book exams.
Yes. However, one attempt at the official certification exam is included in every AXELOS training workshop fee. You will only receive the official certification if you take and pass the corresponding exam.
IIL will send a letter of attendance to you once course attendance has been verified.
PeopleCert administers the exams.
For Traditional Classroom workshops: Paper-based exams will be administered on the last day of class
For Virtual Classroom/On-Demand workshops: Exams will be administered via an online voucher.
Exam vouchers are valid for one year from the date of issue.
You will receive an email directly from PeopleCert regarding exam registration and scheduling. Please follow the instructions as indicated in that email. More information can be found here.
Contact [email protected] directly BEFORE the voucher expires to pay an extension fee. Extensions will not be granted after the expiration date.
If the one-year access to the exam voucher has expired, extensions cannot be granted. Contact [email protected] directly for pricing and information regarding purchase of an additional voucher. Payment in full may be required before the voucher will be assigned.

This depends upon location and availability. Pearson Vue and Prometric provide testing for some AXELOS certification exams. Please check the Pearson Vue and Prometric websites’ PeopleCert provider pages for additional information. If you do not see an option for the exam you are looking for, contact your local testing centers for additional information.
This information can be found on the individual course certification webpage at www.iil.com. Information will also be included in the Welcome Letter you will receive prior to the course.
Preliminary results will be available on the same day. Official results will be released directly to you 2-3 business days after being validated by PeopleCert.
The results will display as a percentage of success per topic. There is no question-by-question analysis.
If you do not pass the first attempt, you can try again as soon as you like. Payment will be required in full prior to booking the exam. Please contact IIL for additional information regarding the resit process and fees.
