Engage, Align, Deliver: Communicating to Connect with Stakeholders

Presented by Saskia Van Dyck, PMP

Global Director of PMO, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company

In today’s fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments, effective communication is essential for building trust, aligning priorities and inspiring action. This session explores how to communicate with clarity, empathy, and purpose to keep stakeholders engaged and invested.

You’ll learn how to understand stakeholders’ needs, context, and communication styles. Whether your stakeholders are data-driven decision-makers or big-picture thinkers, knowing what matters to them—and how they prefer to receive information—is key. We’ll emphasize the value of curiosity over assumptions, encouraging you to ask the right questions, listen actively, and adapt your approach accordingly.

Then, we’ll shift to the practical side of preparing for a stakeholder update—from structuring your message and choosing the right format, to anticipating questions and aligning your tone with the audience.  Whether it’s a high-stakes presentation or a routine check-in, you’ll leave with tools to communicate with confidence and impact.

Key Takeaways:

  • Understand how to interpret stakeholder needs, understand context and communication styles
  • Learn how to structure your message to align with your audience’s needs
  • Learn to craft stakeholder updates that are informative, engaging and actionable
