About the Presentation

Join us for an insightful exploration into the dynamic intersection of sustainable practices, education, and corporate responsibility, led by young sustainability leaders from Engineers for a Sustainable World. As the torchbearers of a greener future, these emerging leaders will share their perspectives on what sustainable practices entail, drawing from their diverse educational experiences to explain sustainability and why every member of the workforce should be doing their part to explore more environmentally sustainable practices in their organizations. 

The discussion will delve into the role of education in shaping these leaders and preparing them to pioneer a more sustainable workforce. From academic programs to experiential learning, the panelists will shed light on the crucial elements of their education that have equipped them to drive positive change within organizations.

About Matthew Vu

Matthew Vu is a Chapter Relations Coordinator for Engineers for a Sustainable World and has been a part of the organization for 5 years. He has a passion for sustainability and clean energy and is always looking for more opportunities to get involved and make changes in the industry. He has also worked for the last 6 years as a Design Engineer for the civil engineering firm, DN Tanks.

About Sam Walsh

Sam Walsh is a senior software engineer at Rose-Hulman minoring in entrepreneurial studies, sustainability, and philosophy. While he’s able to work with environmental monitoring as a software engineer, his interests have developed over the last few years into topics of organizational leadership and culture, sustainability education, and strategic business planning. He is aiming to take his experiences and skills in a leadership or sustainability consulting direction. Outside of his educations, he thrives on holistic well-being. He is an avid weightlifter and started running track this year. His music tastes keep a mix of indie vibes and catchy pop tunes, alongside the Mel Robbins podcast to keep him company. He enjoys good times with friends through intramural sports, road trips, or video games, and you can always count him in for a day out in the woods, or by a serene lake. 

About Suveda Sannidhi

Suveda is a third-year student studying environmental engineering as her major, while also pursuing a certificate in humanitarian engineering. Her hobbies include singing, dancing, reading, and writing. In the future, she hopes to work for an engineering company that creates solutions to environmental problems.

About Tyler Schin

Tyler Schin (he/him) is a junior in environmental studies with a cumulative GPA of roughly 3.6. After finishing his studies, Tyler hopes to get a job working in the field of ecology, clean energy, or wildlife management, though he is still narrowing it down.
