The PMP® Certification
By Jacqueline E. Dennis, PgMP, PMP
Abstract
The Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certification is one of many professional credentials that is awarded by the Project Management Institute (PMI)®. Currently, there are approximately 1.4 million PMI PMPs awarded by PMI, the world’s leading authority on management. The PMP® certification is accredited against the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 and ISO/ANSI 17024 standards. Credential holders across the globe “speak” the same professional language and apply the same standards and guides across industries, which provides the professionals and organizations with credibility and confidence, when delivering business value through project outcomes.
