Sustainability in the Workplace: Continuing Your Journey

About the Presentation

In the advanced course, the instructor will share how to build a coalition for sustainable change in the workplace. She will be diving more deeply into each of the 7 tenets of the PLLANET model: Purpose, Language, Less, Ask, NetZero, Equity and Time. By the end of the session, attendees will have a framework to create a sustainability development plan with metrics for their own organization. Participants will also receive a PDF of Lisa’s book, Work Better. Save The Planet: The Earth-First Workplace Is Good for People, Great for Business.

About Lisa Whited

Lisa Whited’s education, experience and credentials blend organizational development, change management, physical workplace design, DEIB (diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging), and sustainability to improve work for all. Internationally recognized as a thought leader on the future of work, she believes in the transformative power of improving workplaces.  

Lisa has an MS in Organization & Management from Antioch University and holds certifications in mediation, facilitation, interior design, and as a circular economy specialist. She is currently a doctoral student in the Organizational Development & Change program at Fielding Graduate University.  

Lisa has consulted for major companies including Google, Microsoft, WTW, BP, and Omnicom. She received IFMA’s Distinguished Author Award for her book Work Better. Save the Planet which is a guide for building employee engagement while positively impacting climate change.
