As many of our communities around the world begin a path to recovery and rebuild from the global pandemic, I am filled with many emotions.
I feel concern about the future with so many unknowns, anxiety about taking care and meeting the needs of IIL’s great customers and employees around the globe, and apprehension at the necessity of reinvention for all of us and of IIL’s offerings, every minute of every day. I also mourn the heart-wrenching tragedy we are still seeing in parts of the world in which leaders thought COVID-19 was under control, so we see every day that nothing is certain when it comes to a full global recovery.
But I must say that I also feel great pride, relief, and hope that many of us are making progress toward having successfully navigated the tumultuous change of the past year. It is our profound appreciation for you—our customers, clients, partners, and all others in the global learning community—that inspires everyone at IIL to innovate and meet you where and when you want to (or can) learn.

In 2001, IIL was the first training organization in the industry to launch “public” live online learning solutions, which we developed immediately in response to another extremely challenging world event, 9/11. Today, IIL delivers thousands of “public” and “organization–specific” live, virtual training sessions each year.
