About the Program
The Agile Project Management Simulation Laboratory is based on extensive research with major corporations and government agencies, scrum masters, and agile practitioners. The workshop is a pressure-packed experiential learning design – just like real life. Your team is asked to plan and then execute a complex computer-simulated project where agile methods, skills, and behaviors are merged with project management principles, leadership, and self-directed team development. The simulation is comprised of integrated work items, tasks, numerous staff, contractors, quality issues, technology requirements, constant customer interaction, budgets, meetings, reporting to management, and more. This workshop provides short lectures on key topics of agile project and team development management. As the simulation proceeds, your team must execute the plan while trying to meet a very challenging delivery schedule. As in real life, you make decisions and face difficult trade-offs that may have unintended consequences. Typical project impediments and roadblocks create more challenges. In just two days, you gain several months of practical agile project management experience via a highly realistic project simulation – a unique learning feature of this workshop.
